How to move from your current medication
- You can start your ABILIFY ASIMTUFII or ABILIFY MAINTENA treatment when you and your doctor decide you are ready
- Your doctor may have you keep taking your current treatment for up to 2 weeks after your first injection as the medication builds up in your body

If you are transitioning from oral aripiprazole or
have taken it in the past and tolerated it
Receive your first injection and keep taking your current oral medication for up to 2 weeks as the medication builds up in your body
After your first injection, work with your healthcare provider to schedule your next appointment for ABILIFY ASIMTUFII (2 months later) or ABILIFY MAINTENA (1 month later)
If you are transitioning from an oral treatment other than aripiprazole and have never taken aripiprazole in the past
Your doctor may have you stop your current treatment and start taking oral aripiprazole for up to 2 weeks before your first injection. This is to see how well your body tolerates it
If your body tolerates aripiprazole, you may receive your first injection of ABILIFY ASIMTUFII or ABILIFY MAINTENA
After your first injection, continue to take oral aripiprazole for 2 weeks as the new medication builds up in your body
After your first injection, work with your healthcare provider to schedule your next appointment for ABILIFY ASIMTUFII (2 months later) or ABILIFY MAINTENA (1 month later)
If you are transitioning from once-monthly ABILIFY MAINTENA
to once every-2-months ABILIFY ASIMTUFII
You may receive ABILIFY ASIMTUFIl in place of your next scheduled injection of ABILIFY MAINTENA
After that, you will receive your ABILIFY ASIMTUFII injection once every 2 months
If you are transitioning from oral aripiprazole or
have taken it in the past and tolerated it
